Mobility Ventures Appoints Wireless Industry Veteran & Entrepreneur Roy Gunter as Venture Partner

Dallas, TX, November 15, 2011 — Mobility Ventures, a leading global venture capital and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Roy Gunter as Venture Partner. Gunter will advise entrepreneurs and serve as a member of the company’s executive team focusing on wireless technologies and new digital applications & services, in the UK and Europe.

Roy Gunter is a 20+ year wireless industry veteran and has a solid record of building multimillion dollar operations from scratch. He has served as senior executive of global corporations and has also been an entrepreneur, having founded Qflick (now part of Amazon), a delivery platform of media content in the UK. Gunter has also served on the boards of several start-up companies, helping direct the companies from seed to their eventual acquisition. Previously as Vice President and General Manager of Siemens Wireless Infrastructure/ Siemens ICM , he developed and managed all North American business activity including new products, systems, customer service, sales, and marketing. Before this he was Vice President of Business Development at Pacific Bell Mobile Services (PBMS), where he built the wireless business, including the launch of wireless networks and retail strategies. Gunter has also held senior positions at Nokia Mobile Phones where he was involved in launching a number of world’s first mobile devices and data products.
